San Diego, California :)

Landed in this beautiful place a few days ago and i'm completely loving it. The accents, I mean come on its to lust over HAHA. Arrived @ San Fran on Fri then took a connecting flight to LA and then from there we drove for 2hrs to SD. A LOT OF TRAVELLING, my ass has never been so sore lol. Totally not looking forward to the 13hr flight back home.

Spent some time bonding with the cousins before we jet off to Florida. Most of the bonding sessions have been spent with cousin Randy, Hazel's busy school and wedding and Eden with school and work. The first day gave us the chance for all five of us got to hang out at a local drink joint (similar to Easyway but had the Starbucks Mt Druitt atmosphere to it), and just chilled and talked-was good. The following day was busy, woke up to people running errands for the Bridal shower party that was to happen that afternoon. We helped with decorations and preparations and the party ran smoothly, plus the weather was nice. Got to meet friends of the cousins and was eventually surrounded by American accents :) Later on that night, straight after the festivities, we headed to downtown SD where we got to do some shopping (cousins shout) at Urban Outfitters and Forever 21. Got myself a nice pair of sunnies, a shirt and dress then headed to a desert joint for some gelato.

Third day in sunny SD was spent at ze beach ! We decided to crash my cousins friend's party. Met a couple of people from the day before but didn't know most of the people. The weather was nice, not too hot with a cool breeze. We stayed most of the day; ate, swam (minus me) and basked in the heat. Then spent the drive home listening to Bob Marley with the windows rolled down, wind in the face total OC moment-well not really.

Cousin's gf hooked us up with some discounted tickets to seaworld SD on our fourth day because she knew people in the marine army base where they can get discounts and freebies. Super fun. It's been a while since I spent time with family where we could just relax and have fun. Watched most of the animal shows that were scheduled that day, Shamu was my favourite :) Rode on Journey to Atlantis ride and the Shipwreck (i think, probably some other name) with the brother in which both left us drenched to the skin with water. Tried our best to dry ourselves off walking around and sitting in the sun, but still left with a couple of wet patches.

Fifth Day was spent doing some more shopping and sightseeing at Fashion Valley and La Jolla. Bought our laptops at FV but they aren't the ones I previously had on my wishlist; the Dell studio 14z which I had thoroughly researched, instead we bought the new Vaio which just came out a couple days ago. Don't know if it was as highly recommended as the Dell, but it seems to be working swell so far and plus it looks pretty snazzy! I snapped myself a candy red colour whilst brother got a black. After the shopping we drove down to La Jolla located on the coast which is apparently one of the wealthier neighbourhoods of SD. We took a lot of photos and watched the sun set towards the Pacific Ocean.

Sixth day (today) we spent doing some MORE shopping. Went to a factory outlet kind of store which was located close to the border of Mexico. Looking out you could literally see the borderline and Mexico, if only we had brought our passports we could have crossed! But yes more shopping this time for shoes. Brother and I bought a pair of Vans sneakers at a Vans store and some sandals at Aldo. Checked out Gap, Old Navy, American Eagle Outfitters (name?) and a bunch of others. Also got the chance to eat at In n Out, a burger joint i've always wanted to try. Totally worth it, big burgers and choleseterol filled fries ! HAHA I took a few pics...crap I should have taken a menu or something.. Got home chilled and got a makeover from cousin, something to try before the wedding because she found out that I don't normally wear any makeup.

It's been completely hectic the past few days but well worth it. Havent got the chance to see Hollywood or spent much time in LA, but not too fussed having fun with whats here. The week's going by fast and the wedding is fast approaching with only a couple more days to go which means more running around and collecting garments! Having a blast though and yes looking forwards to what the rest of the week brings. Apparently we're going to Six Flags on Monday!! EXCITED !
