Farewells, Pancakes, Guitar Hero, Changeling, Max Brenner

Yep the title pretty much describes my day in that order. Had planned to spend the day with some of the Uni friends as we hadn't hung out a lot these holidays.

Woke up early this morning, had a quick shower because I was expecting the girls to come over early for breakfast but they came later than expected. This had given me some time to give Charise a call before she left and wish her a safe trip to the Philippines. Was a pretty quick chat because she still had to fit in some exercise before she headed for the airport, lol i swear the chick is an exercise freak :) ! The girls came over an hour later with some pancake mix and ice-cream and we gathered round the the kitchen having a chat bout guys, msn convos, Kayla's skills in the art of "chatting", philippines and various other things, whilst whipping up stacks of pancakes. We ended up making way too many pancakes leaving a pile of leftovers.

After filling our stomachs we had a few rounds of Guitar Hero which was quite fun and amusing. Amusing to watch Raihmae attempting to last till the chorus on the guitar. We found later on, after several attempts on the guitar, she was much more coordinated on the drums.

After a couple of hours we decided to head to Blacktown in Kayla's bouncy purple car to catch the 12:15 session of the Changeling. I had heard a lot of positive reviews about the movie prior and thought that it would be a good movie to watch and im happy to say that i was not disappointed. The movie was about 2hrs or so long and i felt was worth the money, even though it was 'cheap tuesday'. Its the second movie i'd seen in a month that was directed by Clint Eastwood that I liked a lot, the first being Gran Torino. Both movies were great and i encourage all to watch :)

Before heading home we decided to check out the Max Brenner that opened up at Blacktown a while ago that I still hadn't seen. There, we met up with Raihmae's sister and cousins and decided to stick around and had some waffles, pizza and chocolate croissant. Definitely had too much sugar for one day! Took a few photos before stuffing ourselves with the chocolate filled desserts. Still pretty full from the mornings pancakes we had to force ourselves to finish the left over chocolate pizza slices, i think i may have grown sick of chocolate haha ! We left the place full and more than satisfied but before heading home we decided to take a detour to Mounty Starbucks to see if a friend was working but was disappointed, so we headed back to my place for some more GH. The stuck around for a couple more rounds of GH then had to head home. Carmi stayed for a few more minutes because burning Gossip Girl season 2 took longer than expected and then i dropped her home! Was a heaps fun day ! Thanks guys :)

Trying to force myself not to watch the whole season in one day so i'd still have something interesting to watch for the rest of the week. Dad's not working tomorrow = free car ! :):):) May drop by Kat's place with Jel to watch some Gossip Girl.
